About Lake International School
Lake International School is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) school offering studies for students in grades sixth through eighth. We accept all middle school students regardless of prior academic history (previous IB exposure is not required). As an authorized IB Middle Years Programme, Lake prepares students for success in our increasingly global community by encouraging learners to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world. Our curriculum accelerates achievement in English and an additional language (Spanish), humanities, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical education, and technology.
The International Baccalaureate organization is recognized for its international education, encouraging students to be active learners, well-rounded individuals and engaged world citizens. With emphasis on academic rigor, we also concentrate on the social and emotional development of all of our students. Our program meets and exceeds the traditional Colorado curriculum standards, and our overall goal is creating a positive learning environment that fosters student achievement and a foundation for success in high school, college and beyond.
